February 14, 1987 - March 3, 2003
I got Nick when he was 6 weeks old. I still remember every detail of that very day. At six weeks, he barely covered a 12 inch floor tile, had puppy fur, and full grown ears that appeared hilariously out of proportion. Even at this age, he had a lot to say.
About two years ago Nick was diagnosed with Cushing's Disease. Since then, it was clear that Nick was getting older and starting to show the effects of the Cushing's.
Throughout his life he has given me endless memories, love and loyalty which I am thankful for and will hold dear to me. The only comfort I can find from the loss of my dear friend is that he is at peace. Since last night I have had a strange blanket of silence fall upon me. The only thing I wish to hear would be his bark again.
You will forever be missed and loved.
